Jessica, a classmate of mine, teaches college algebra and has developed an amazing relevant and innovative learning scenario for her students using virtual manipulatives. I had no idea that there is a National Library of Virtual Manipulatives when I was preparing adults for the Math section of the GED years ago.. the website's been in existence since 1999 and is an awesome resource for teachers and students. You will find a comment from me, regarding how wonderfully dedicated she and her colleagues are, here.
Hunter, another classmate, teaches a college electronics class and came up with a RILS project that features polleverywhere.com, which makes using cell phones to poll learners, much like clickers or other polling devices that are used in education or for training purposes, practical, easy and fun! You'll find my comment to his blog post here.
